I am a student

Access the Employment Portal to consult our internship opportunities, where you will find offers from companies and institutions that collaborate with BAU. This portal will allow you to find out about and apply for the best opportunities to gain experience and complement your academic training.

Internships allow you to put into practice the knowledge acquired during your studies in a real professional environment. Throughout this experience, you will develop key skills such as teamwork, problem solving, creativity, adaptability and decision-making in real situations.

In addition, you will be constantly accompanied by a BAU academic tutor, who will guide you and resolve any doubts or difficulties, as well as by a tutor designated by the collaborating entity, who will be in charge of guiding you on a day-to-day basis and facilitating your integration into the professional team.

This experience will not only allow you to apply your knowledge, but also to gain confidence and better prepare you for your future career.

Frequently Asked Questions

The main difference between curricular and extracurricular internships lies in their academic nature.

Curricular internships are mandatory and are part of the curriculum. Their duration and timetable are defined by the academic program, and when they are completed, ECTS credits are obtained.

On the other hand, extracurricular internships are voluntary and are performed outside the curriculum. They do not validate ECTS credits, although they can be included in the European Diploma Supplement (SET) if requested. In addition, they have a more flexible schedule and can be carried out at any time during the course, as long as they have a minimum duration of 65 hours.

You can do a maximum of 900 hours per academic year, adding curricular internships (150h) and extracurricular internships.

In the case of curricular internships, they must be carried out in the course and period foreseen by the study plan. Extracurricular internships, being voluntary, can be done at any time of the year, always with BAU’s approval.

You can obtain an internship in two ways:
Through BAU: Consult the offers published in the internship portal and request a place approved by the academic area.
On your own initiative: You can propose a company or entity where you want to do the internship, as long as it has BAU’s approval.

Yes, BAU may reject your internship proposal if it does not meet the academic requirements. This may occur if:

  • The tasks or competencies are not consistent with the curriculum.
The limit of allowed weekly hours is exceeded.
  • It is incompatible with your classes or academic activities.
  • The tasks are already linked to other subjects.
  • The proposal does not meet the university’s regulatory criteria.

The curricular internships are evaluated as follows:
Academic evaluation: BAU’s academic tutor evaluates the internship based on the final report that the student must prepare and on the report of the tutor of the company or entity.
Fulfillment of the training plan: It is taken into account whether the student has fulfilled the tasks and competencies foreseen in the training project.

Yes, the requirements must be consulted in the academic regulations.

No, but they can be included in the European Diploma Supplement (SET) if requested.
